  2. Remove plug from one brake port (if installed).
  3. Attach supplied rubber grommet to the tip of bleeding syringe.
  4. Fill reservoir with new brake fluid until at least half full (use new brake fluid, OE specified type).
  5. Hold syringe tightly against port.
  6. Slowly pull syringe plunger until syringe is approximately half full.
  7. Purge air completely from syringe. Hold syringe tightly against port and re-inject fluid back into port.
  8. Repeat steps 5 - 7 until no air bubbles are observed in reservoir.
  9. Replace cap plug.
  10. Repeat steps 2 - 7 for all other ports.

For this Step Bore Master Cylinder, pressure bleeding is recommended. If pressure bleeding is not available, the supplied syringe bleeding kit should be used as an alternative bleeding method.

  1. Mount master cylinder, as pictured.
Note: Wear safety goggles, as fluid will expel from port when performing this procedure. Also take precautions to prevent fluid from contacting painted surfaces and personnel.
  2. Remove plugs from both brake ports (if installed). Place pan below ports to catch fluid during bleeding.
  3. Attach supplied rubber grommet to the tip of bleeding syringe.
  4. Fill reservoir until inlet ports are completely covered (use brake fluid, OE specified type).
  5. Fill syringe with new brake fluid of correct type. Be sure to purge all air from syringe.
  6. Place rag over primary port. Hold syringe tightly against primary reservoir inlet and slowly inject fluid, repreat until all air is purged from unit and fluid is visible at port.
  7. Fill syringe with new brake fluid. Be sure to purge all air from syringe.
  8. Hold syringe tightly against primary chamber brake port and slowly inject fluid.
  9. Repeat until no air bubbles are observed in reservoir.
